This method, developed in the USA, combines the advantages of endoscopic prostate exfoliation (TUR-P / TURiS) with those of laser treatment. The laser is inserted through an endoscope into the urethra under anesthesia. The prostate tissue is precisely removed by the laser layer by layer. The doctor controls the laser's action on the screen with millimeter precision. The laser treatment hardly causes any bleeding, which is particularly important for patients taking blood-thinning medication.
